    Hello,
I’m currently building the Hackberry exiii and have some questions.

First, I’d like to know if someone has assembly instructions. I have downloaded and printed the 3d files and parts but I don’t know how it is put together.

Second, I live in the USA and most of the hardware and motors (Screws, Springs, Metal Rods, Metal Tubing, and Servos) listed on your part list do not have substitute parts I can get in the USA. Has anyone in the USA found alternative part sources for these?

If you can help, please let me know. I’m trying to build a prototype and if I’m successful, I’d like to help others. I’m a 40 year Electronics Technician/PCB designer, and I’d love to use your tech and my experience to people who need it.

    Thanks
    SerifShadow

do you mean instructions like this?

regarding the components I believe the BOM has the components listed and information for some alternatives in the US, I live in Mexico but probably for screws, springs , metal rods and tubings, Mcmaster should be a good way to look for those.
For servo motors and other electronic components : Amazon

    good luck !

    Hi there,

Like it was mentioned, Hiroshi has a pretty good list and links in his BOM.
However, if you’re interested in a complete part kit, send us an email at pikespeakmakerspace@gmail.com
We’re located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

    Hi Hiroshi,

it seems like “HbShaftStopperB04” did not fit properly into the palm, there was a difference of 1mm bigger (6.8mm and the inside palm is 6 mm) is it only our case? or do you think it is the position of the printing? Also the pictures with all the elements in black are not really easy to see on this picture.

We put some brightness but I don’t find a way to sent you the picture on this forum
Also, the design of the hand on the picture is different from the new version.

Best regards, beside that, it is a really well documented work, BRAVO

    Hello Nico,
I, Yuki who works for exiii gonna answer that question instead of Hiroshi for now.

For first, i apologize that our picture in wiki is not good to see and using not a latest version of HACKberry.
For a period of time, we published wrong version of STL file. So i think you download at that time. We are sorry again.
I examined for just in case, but there is no interference.
